by ensemble member Benjamin James Wilson

directed by Lillian Tillson

Avery Cannon is a run of the mill, yet henpecked poet by day and a serial arsonist by night. Accompany him as he finds himself lost in a walking dream with no end in sight and no way out. He is joined in this chimera by his aggravated girlfriend, a jaded psychiatrist and his patient, and a sardonic janitor who holds all of the answers Avery seeks or maybe none of them.

Loosely based on a Rupert Brooke poem, this new play by Youngblood’s resident playwright Benjamin James Wilson is both darkly comedic and slightly terrifying. You will never look at an ice-scrapper or Zippo® lighter the same way again.
