A graduate of UWM’s BFA acting program, performing credits include Youngblood, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, First Stage Children’s Theater, Milwaukee Shakespeare, In Tandem Theatre, Quasi-Productions, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. This summer he will appear in MACBETH, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, and MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at the Utah Shakespearean Festival. In addition to his performance credits, served as Associate Producer on the independent film Tracks, and is currently the Administrative Intern at the Milwaukee Rep. Past directing credits include THE DUMB WAITER (co-directed with Daniel Koester) and for Pink Banana’s TALES FROM THE DUGOUT. Mickle Maher is a cofounder of Chicago's Theater Oobleck. Plays include THE STRANGERER (funded by a grant from Creative Capital), THE HUNCHBACK VARIATIONS, AN APOLOGY FOR THE COURSE AND OUTCOME OF CERTAIN EVENTS DELIVERED BY DOCTOR JOHN FAUSTUS ON THIS HIS FINAL EVENING, THE CABINET (for Redmoon Theater), and LADY MADELINE (for Steppenwolf Theatre). He is the recent recipient of an NEA grant to adapt THE HUNCHBACK VARIATIONS into an opera with composer Mark Messsing.  His plays are published by Hope and Nonthings (hopeandnonthings.com). He is currently working with Redmoon's Frank Maugeri on a shadow/slide theater work about a very old superhero.
